"Most people are blind to their bodies. You teach them to see." ~ Jessica H. NYC

"I saw Paula for my painful sciatica. After one session with her, I was able to walk normally and the pain and numbness were completely gone." ~ Jennifer H. NYC

"The bodywork that you performed on me when I was visiting New York worked wonderfully. I had been in constant lower back pain and the left side of my neck was out of kilter. After your treatment, I was vitally refreshed and the pain was gone. It has NOT returned." ~ Mia Rose, President, miarose.com

Doing Massage Differently

Integrating Swedish, Medical, Connective Tissue, Myofascial, Reflexology, Neuromuscular (NMT), Shiatsu, Gua Sha, Cupping (Vacuum Therapy) and other techniques as required for each client's specific and unique needs.

Always seeking new challenges, Paula welcomes the widest variety of clients and complaints.

While her short-term goal is to alleviate the problems presented by the client, the long-term goals include improved quality of life, deeper self awareness, and prevention of injury, pain, and dis-ease. Her combined passion for excellence and techniques that are all connective tissue focused versus muscle focused are the keys to her many successes.

Connective Tissue Is A Paradigm Shift

Telling people that massage should be about connective tissue and not muscles sounds heretical, like any new concept before it's accepted.

The latest research is suggesting that connective tissue is really a giant web of an organ, and the only organ that interfaces with all other organs and tissues. It nourishes, protects, connects, separates, and communicates all at once. When this tissue is healthy, and connective tissue focused massage is one of the best ways to get it healthy, you are giving your vascular and nervous systems, muscles, bone structure, and organs the best chance to really thrive.

Connective tissue focused massage therapy is the best method for facilitating a healthier you. This is what Paula's massage therapy focuses on and this is why she gets the fastest, longest-lasting results for her clients.

The Case of The Groin Pull That Was Not

The clearest example of how connective tissue issues can mimic muscle pain is in the case of the pregnant and near birthing client who presented with a pulled groin (adductor) muscle. Noticing congestion within the connective tissue in the hip opposite of the muscular pain, Paula set about clearing that "congestion" and the groin pull pain disappeared!

Issues In The Tissues

Paula's clients are regularly surprised at her ability to find issues in the tissues that they either had not told her about or did not know were there. This ability is due to her highly refined palpation skills, allowing her to first locate and then clear sub-clinical problems.

Long before pain presents itself and long before a diagnoses of disease is made, sub-clinical problems exist. Clearing the sub-clinical problems means you not only get your current issues addressed, but you likely eliminate future issues by getting to them before they get to you: This, is real prevention.

Adapting To Any Body Type or Condition

Paula's compassion and palpation skills also make her highly adept at intuitively adjusting pressure from light to deep, allowing her to care for the very ill to the very robust for the very tender to the very tough: She is expert at handling the issues of chronic pain sufferers like those living with arthritisfibromyalgia, or diabetes, sensitive and allergic individuals, dancers and athletes, and anyone who wants to maintain their mind and body to its fullest functioning.

Heal Faster

Paula helps your body to heal faster, too. From frozen shoulder to tendonitis to osteoarthritis, you can get faster, longer lasting relief than through traditional methods.

Pregnancy Massage

Understanding the importance of minimizing trauma in the growing fetus, Paula is also passionate about helping moms have healthy, easy pregnancies, births, and lactations, and is now accepting new clients in this area.

Geriatric Massage

Much of the aging process, particularly as it pertains to mobility and also known as functional aging, can be reversed through proper massage techniques. Paula's connective tissue massage is great for seniors of any age.

Make The Change Toward Therapeutic Massage

SESSION RECOMMENDATIONS

Paula can advise on what may be best for your particular circumstances and body, but only you can determine the priority of your health.

General Recommendations

For the ultimate in healing and prevention and to reduce the need for frequent sessions, your best bet is the two-hour session that combines both BioSyntonie and Full Body Therapeutic Massage.

Why a Longer Session?

  • A problem in one area always impacts the whole body
  • Focusing only on the problem area can actually cause other problems
  • Combination sessions require more time
  • More time now means less time later
  • Longer, fewer sessions add up to great savings

Clients who choose combination sessions and have a regular therapy routine, even if only four times a year, tend to experience less pain, more sparkling health, improved energy and ability to handle stress, and a remarkable ability to see, understand, and act upon the truly important things in life.

How Frequently?

Connective tissue is amazingly regenerative and usually takes up to 72 hours to fully integrate the changes. The first-ever connective tissue therapy session is often memorable and never repeated: Subsequent sessions will never be like the first, because connective tissue therapy has a way of making permanent changes, and quickly. A few individuals are chronic and so the peeling of the layers involved in making those changes may take longer, but most people respond quickly and feel better, longer than with any other type of bodywork. Because responsiveness is unique to your body and circumstances, read Paula's short and entertaining blog to help you determine how often to get this wonderful connective tissue therapy.

You are in The Driver's Seat!

Recommendations aside, Paula accommodates you. Choose sessions from as short as 30 minutes to the full 120 minutes. Longer sessions are discounted for your benefit.
