"I saw Paula for my painful sciatica. After one session with her, I was able to walk normally and the pain and numbness were completely gone." ~ Jennifer H. NYC

"The bodywork that you performed on me when I was visiting New York worked wonderfully. I had been in constant lower back pain and the left side of my neck was out of kilter. After your treatment, I was vitally refreshed and the pain was gone. It has NOT returned." ~ Mia Rose, President, miarose.com

If you are looking for spa or traditional style massage, please allow me to change your mind...

There are at least 160 different styles of massage. Each one has the ability to resolve a multitude of conditions and symptoms on the mental, emotional, and physical levels. With so many choices, it is recommended that clients focus less on modality (style) and more on the special skills of the therapist.

The best way to find the right therapist for you, is to ask whether they are skilled at solving or dealing with your particular circumstances. For example, some therapists may be good at returning range-of-motion in the shoulder, but may not know how to handle the delicate tissues of a person with diabetes or fibromyalgia. Other therapists may be able to solve your sports injuries, but not decompress you from an emotional trauma.

ABOUT PAULA'S WORK

Paula handles the widest variety of client complaints with the long-term goal of improved quality of life and deeper awareness of the physical self for true prevention of injury, pain, and dis-ease. She is able to accomplish this because her massage is really Connective Tissue Therapy.

Connective Tissue Therapy differs from traditional massage because the focus is not on muscles, but on identifying and clearing problem areas within the connective tissue. Unlike muscles, connective tissue supports the blood, nerve, and lymphatic circulation as well as the nourishment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and our major organs. Therefore, this amazing connective tissue therapy not only lasts much, much longer than traditional massage, but often results in the kind of improved health that reduces traditional healthcare expenses, giving you more time to enjoy life.

Paula's clients are regularly surprised at her ability to find issues in the tissues that they either had not told her about or did not know were there. This ability is due to her compassion and highly refined palpation skills, allowing her to locate and clear sub-clinical problems. Long before a diagnoses of disease can be made, sub-clinical problems exist. Clearing the sub-clinical problems means you not only get your current issues addressed, but you likely eliminate future issues by getting to them before they get to you: This, is real prevention.

Paula is highly adept at intuitively adjusting pressure from light to deep, allowing her to care for the very ill to the very robust: She is expert at handling the issues of chronic pain sufferers like those living with arthritisfibromyalgia or diabetes; sensitive and allergic individuals; those who use their bodies for art or sport; and anyone who wants to maintain their mind and body to its fullest functioning.

CONNECTIVE TISSUE IS THE REAL MASSAGE DEAL

Telling people that massage should be about connective tissue and not muscles is like any new concept before it's accepted: People don't believe it! Remember what happened when they first tried to tell people the world was round, not flat? The lastest research shows that what we thought about muscles and connective tissue is surprisingly wrong. Take this example:

If you removed all the connective tissue from a muscle (fascia is one type of connective tissue) and then sliced a knife right through that muscle, you would feel nothing! In fact, without its connective tissue, muscles are pretty wimpy and don't function well, or at all!

Connective tissue is really a giant web of an organ, and the only organ that interfaces with all other organs and tissues. It nourishes, protects, connects, separates, and communicates all at once. When this tissue is healthy, and connective tissue focused massage is one of the best ways to get it healthy, you are giving your vascular system, nervous system, muscles, and organs the best chance to thrive.

Connective tissue focused massage therapy is the best method for facilitating a healthier you. This is what Paula's massage therapy focuses on and this is why she gets the fastest, longest-lasting results for her clients.

SESSION RECOMMENDATIONS

Paula can advise on what may be best for your particular circumstances and body, but only you can determine the priority of your health.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

For the ultimate in healing and prevention and to reduce the need for frequent sessions, your best bet is the two-hour session that combines both BioSyntonie and Full Body Therapeutic Massage.

WHY A LONGER SESSION?

  • A problem in one area always impacts the whole body
  • Focusing only on the problem area can actually cause other problems
  • Combination sessions require more time
  • More time now means less time later
  • Longer, fewer sessions add up to great savings

Clients who choose combination sessions and have a regular therapy routine, even if only four times a year, tend to experience less pain, more sparkling health, improved energy and ability to handle stress, and a remarkable ability to see, understand, and act upon the truly important things in life.

YOU ARE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT!

Recommendations aside, Paula accommodates you. Choose sessions from as short as 30 minutes to the full 120 minutes. Longer sessions are discounted for your benefit.
